Upholsterer in Glasgow,

on behalf of his children - for the Gift from the Crown of £313-50 in the hands of Mr Alexander, Victoria, Hong Kong, and which formed the Estate of George McFaren, Seaman whose nearest relative was Mr Park's Wife, but which money owing to the illegitimacy of the deceased and his sister, Ms Park, has fallen to the Crown as ultima haeres.

Along with the Memorial there is sent a Declaration by Mr. Mair, and also 2 letters from Mr Alexander of date 27th June 1864 and 14th May 1865, and a receipt by him of date 27th June 1864 acknowledging the money.

We request the favour of your giving these documents a perusal, and should you approve of the Memorial, issuing the necessary authority for Mr Park to uplift the money?
